May 8, 2019 5.7K by Biz 158 Scroll down to my cheesy Alouette chicken - it's so good! My roommates and I are determined to keep the kitchen clean. See that dishwasher? It doesn't work. I have well water and it just wore it out after about five years. I have to get a different water softener and we are in the process of figuring that out.

Heat the oil and butter in a large, non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear until it is golden brown, about 8 minutes. Flip the chicken over, lower the heat to medium-low, and continue to cook until both sides are golden and the chicken is fully cooked, about 10 minutes more.

Chicken Alouette is a delicious puff pastry pocket filled with chicken breasts smothered with Alouette cheese and Dijon mustard. Is Alouette the same thing as Boursin? Yes and no. Alouette and Boursin are both creamy cheese spreads with herbs, but they have different flavor profiles.

These are SO easy to put together. The biggest expense is buying that Alouette spread, which is a little pricey, but other than that, it's a great dish for company or to put on the regular meal rotation. My hubby loved it and we had extra left over for later, which we devoured. If you're looking for something new to do with chicken, try.

Cover the chicken with plastic wrap and pound it thin using a meat tenderizer or rolling pin. This is important in order to get the chicken pieces as thin as possible in order to effectively stuff and roll the chicken. Spread 1 tablespoon of the Alouette on each piece of chicken, followed by a sprinkle of the mozzarella cheese.
