Nice, grassy areas are available with the peace and tranquillity of a small country town right next to the local river.

Free Camping right in Yass: It is a gentle up hill walk to the shops from the park. It is about 800m to the main grocery stores but there are many smaller shops and pubs long before you get to Woolworths or Aldi. There is even an IGA Supa Store in the opposite direction from the park.
