Orcombe Point is found to the south of the town of Exmouth, a coastal headland overlooking the Exe estuary. The geology here dates back to the Triassic period, and displays a characteristic red colouring. Sited at Orcombe Point is the GeoNeedle, a stone monument marking the start of the 96 mile Jurassic Coast - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
