The construction of the Renaissance-style castle was ordered by Henri de Rovilhasc. Built between 1539 and 1544 the final appearance was exactly as it is today.

En 1538, il devient la propriété d' Henri De Rovigliasc venu à la cour pontificale d'Avignon à qui on doit sa transformation. Il devient ainsi la plus belle demeure à l'époque de la Renaissance.
