El espacio denominado Playa de Sotavento de Jandía está situado al sureste de la isla de Fuerteventura. Cubre una superficie de 5.461,11 hectáreas y baña el litoral de los municipios de Tuineje y Pájara. Este espacio se encuentra declarado desde septiembre de 2011 como Zona Especial de Conservación (ZEC), figura contenida en la Red Natura 2000 cuya finalidad es asegurar la supervivencia.
