Located in the center of the north of the country, visiting here is no quick stop, and requires a full day, (or even a night!). The closest big citiy to Lumi i Shales is Shkoder, which is about 55 km south east, and a little under 2 hours away driving.

Lumi i shales is one of the most beautiful spots in Albania and was easily one of the highlights of my road trip. It is not the easiest place to get to, and as we don't speak Albanian the whole journey was a bit confusing, we honestly has no idea if we were going where we wanted to, but luckily it all worked out!

I didn't find a way from Fierze to Lumi I Shales without going back to Koman first, which would have been OK if I had a bit more time but I decided to leave it.
