With a deli, restaurant, casual kitchen and bar, record store, florist and barbers all under one roof, Mare Street Market has become a regular haunt for East Londoners, and now the team is hoping to replicate that in King's Cross with a massive new second site.. At this point we were hanging on by a jet-lagged thread. So, the market was a perfcet jolt of energy with its buzzing communal spaces.

Mare Street Market — the Hackney food hall and creative market co-founded by Gizzi Erskine and Marc Francis-Baum — opens today, just ahead of the Easter long weekend.. In an Instagram post yesterday, Erskine described the project as intending to create "a delicious and creative space that celebrates all things Hackney" and, to that end, collaborators at launch time include in-house.
