POUR 4 cups apple cider into a medium saucepan. SET ASIDE 8 to 12 raspberries for garnish. PLACE remaining raspberries into saucepan. ADD 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. HEAT just until boiling. ALLOW cider to cool somewhat. STRAIN raspberries from cider if desired. STIR IN 1/2 cup spiced rum if using. POUR raspberry cider into mugs.
