The village of Laggan lies at the heart of the Parish of Laggan on the upper reaches of the River Spey, one of Scotland's finest fishing rivers and approximately 10 miles from its source. The village and surrounding area is an ideal base from which to explore the spectacular countryside of this part of the Central Highlands of Scotland.

About Laggan Laggan is our only base in the Caledonian Canal. Fort William and Ben Nevis (the UK's highest mountain) is only 3.5 hours south of the base, while Inverness is only 9hrs to the north. The Lochaber powerhouse and smelter were part of one of the most significant British engineering achievements of the 20th century.
