The xB is a compact vehicle--almost two feet shorter than a Ford Escape--that can't be used to tow and doesn't have four-wheel drive, but Toyota's hoping it's the ideal vehicle for the young.

DeMon71687. Hope there's no cold air intake on this one. The xB is well suited for both styles, IMO. It's too bad the xD platform was chosen for Scion's sponsored rally team. The xb would look better tearing down mud and ice covered roads at 70mph. Mine will look a bit more 'off road' in a week or so. I'll be attempting to bed liner the lower.

The Scion xB has very short ground clearance, of just 5.1 inches. This is far shorter than what experts recommend for off-roading—a minimum of 8.5 inches (and between 8.8 and 10.8 inches for seriously rough terrains). Consider everyone's favorite off-roader, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler . It has a ground clearance of 9.7 inches—way higher than the xB!
