What Is Zereshk Rice? Zereshk (or sereshk) is a traditional Persian rice dish that originated in the province of Gilan, on the coast of the Caspian Sea. It is made with zereshk berries, which are a type of wild sour cherry that grows in the region. The berries are harvested and dried before being used in cooking.
